These motor retainers were designed for rockets that have a flat bottom (where the motor mount tube is flush with the aft centering ring). Three brass inserts and screws are inserted into the base of the rocket, and the retainer simply twists on to secure the motor in place. For use with 38mm diameter rocket engines.
